Location: Longsight, Manchester
Salary: £23,114 per annum (pro rata) - £115-£120 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time / Long-term

Simply Education are looking to appoint a Mental Health Support Assistant to join a school in Longsight that caters for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This role would suit a Mental Health Nurse or support professional seeking a transition into an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one and group support to pupils with mental health and behavioural needs.
Implement Team Teach strategies to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour.
Work collaboratively with staff to create individual support plans.
Promote emotional wellbeing, stability, and personal development.
Encourage positive participation and resilience through consistent pastoral care.Requirements:
Team Teach qualification (essential).
Background in mental health support, nursing, or a related field.
Strong understanding of trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches.
Excellent communication, empathy, and behaviour management skills.Desirable:
Experience in SEMH, PRU, or alternative provision environments.
Awareness of safeguarding and SEND frameworks in education.How to Apply:
