We’re currently looking for experienced, kind-hearted Mental Health Support Workers in Wigan and Manchester to join our growing team. If you’re passionate about supporting others and making a lasting difference, we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
As a Support Worker with Muve Homecare, you’ll work closely with clients who have a variety of complex emotional and behavioural needs, including:
*
Autism, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders
*
Personality disorders and challenging behaviour
*
Learning disabilities and sensory needs
Your role will include:
*
Promoting independence, structure, and emotional wellbeing
*
Supporting clients to build positive routines and meaningful activities
*
Using PMVA (Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression) techniques to manage challenging behaviours safely and respectfully
*
Encouraging social inclusion and helping clients engage with their community
*
Maintaining accurate, professional records and safeguarding standards
*
Collaborating with families, care coordinators, and community teams
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for people who bring empathy, patience, and reliability to their work. You’ll have experience supporting individuals in one or more of the following settings:
*
Mental health, supported living, or learning disability services
*
Residential or community-based support
*
Complex behavioural or emotional support environments
What You’ll Need
*
PMVA Training (Essential) – a valid certificate must be provided
*
Minimum of 1 year’s experience as a Support Worker
*
Right to work in the UK
*
Excellent communication skills and emotional resilience
*
Driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred, not essential)
