We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Support Worker to join a leading housing association in providing support to young people with a history of mental health challenges in a temporary accommodation setting.
In this role, you will work closely with vulnerable individuals, assisting them in managing their mental health and supporting their day-to-day needs.
This is a part-time position offering 30 hours per week, with sleep-ins and weekend work. A rota will be provided 4 weeks in advance, offering you the flexibility to plan your time effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide emotional and practical support to young people facing mental health challenges
Assist with daily living tasks, ensuring service users well-being and safety
Promote independence and encourage positive coping mechanisms
Support the implementation of individual care plans
Work closely with other professionals to ensure holistic care for each individual
Ensure adherence to safeguarding policies and procedures
Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment
What We're Looking For:
A caring and empathetic nature, with a passion for supporting young people
Experience working with individuals facing mental health challenges (desirable, but not essential)
The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
Excellent communication skills
A commitment to upholding high standards of care and support
