Job Description

Protocol Education are currently recruiting a Learning Support Assistant / Teaching Assistant to join a supportive Pupil Referral Unit in Basildon. You will be part of a dedicated team supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a specialist setting. About the role: Supporting students on a 1:1 and small group basis Helping manage behaviour and encourage engagement in learning Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils Working closely with experienced staff in a collaborative environment What we’re looking for: A positive, resilient and proactive attitude Strong communication and relationship-building skills A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs Previous experience is beneficial but not essential – the right mindset is key The details: Full-time, long-term opportunity Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 15:30 Based in Basildon We welcome applicants from: Basildon, Wickford, Billericay, Benfleet, Rayleigh, Stanford-le-Hope, Grays, Chelmsford, Southend and surrounding areas.
