At our supported living service in Mansfield town centre, you’ll help people with mental health conditions and complex needs (including substance misuse and distress behaviours) build confidence, develop life skills, and move towards independent living. About the role As a Mental Health Support Worker, you’ll provide person-centred, trauma-informed support that empowers individuals to: * Live independently and manage their tenancy * Improve daily living skills such as budgeting and self-care * Build confidence and make informed life choices * Maintain wellbeing and positive routines You’ll work closely with families, social workers, and external agencies while ensuring safe, high-quality care. What you’ll do * Deliver tailored, face-to-face mental health support * Support individuals with tenancy management and daily living skills * Promote independence, wellbeing, and recovery journeys * Complete risk assessments and support plans * Administer medication and follow safeguarding procedures * Maintain accurate records using IT systems About the service The service offers supported living for up to 2–4 years, helping people build the skills and confidence to move on. We also provide outreach support to individuals living in their own homes in and around Mansfield. This is a 24-hour service, operating 7 days a week. Shifts include: * 7:00am – 2:30pm * 2:30pm – 10:00pm * 10:00pm – 7:00am Weekend availability is essential. The project is accessible via public transport, but you’ll need to be able to get to the site for early mornings, evenings, and weekends. What you’ll bring We’re looking for a Mental Health Support Worker who is: * Compassionate, resilient, and motivated * Interested in mental health, social care, or supported living * Comfortable working flexible shifts * A strong communicator with professionals and service users * Organised with basic IT skills You’ll be part of a supportive team where your work directly improves lives.
