A forward-thinking and inclusive SEN school in Reading is looking for a Mental Health Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of mental health and developmental needs. This long-term role is ideal for graduates in Psychology, Counselling, Criminology, Education, or those eager to build experience in therapeutic and mental health-based education.
You will support pupils with Autism, ADHD, anxiety, trauma, and social-emotional difficulties, helping them develop confidence, emotional regulation skills, and positive relationships in a safe and structured environment.

Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Salary: £89-£100 per dayMental Health Teaching Assistant responsibilities will include:
Delivering 1:1 and small group emotional support
* Encouraging positive engagement and participation in learning
* Assisting with behaviour and emotional regulation
* Implementing wellbeing strategies and therapeutic approaches
