As a Mental Health Teaching Assistant (TA) in Weymouth, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with mental health needs, helping them overcome barriers and achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities of Mental Health Teaching Assistant (TA):
Assist in the development and implementation of individualised support plans for students with mental health needs.
Provide one-on-one and small group support to students.
Monitor and assess progress, provide feedback to relevant parties, and adjust support strategies as necessary.
Collaborate with other support staff and families to ensure a cohesive approach to development.
Create a positive and inclusive environment.
Use a variety of methods to engage and motivate students.
Maintain accurate records of progress and report to relevant parties.
Requirements of Mental Health Teaching Assistant (TA):
Prior experience in a similar role is essential.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to establish trust and rapport with all members of the community.
Deep commitment to helping students with mental health needs.
Relevant qualifications or training preferred.

An up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
An enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one.
