Mental Health Teaching Assistant - Maidenhead Are you looking for an opportunity to make a real difference and also gain amazing experience? We are working with an amazing mental health school who are looking for a Mental Health Teaching Assistant to start asap! This is such a special school who place an incredible focus on ensuring that all their students are well equipped with the necessary tools and skill that are essential to good mental health. Many of these students have been exposed to adverse childhood experiences and thus faced trauma. This has negatively affected their mental health and also, their learning. This school are looking for a Mental Health Teaching Assistant to join in the classroom and support in the following ways: Facilitate one to one interventions Ensure the students are following their educational health care plans Support with modelling healthy ways to cope Supporting in conflict resolution and helping students process and regulate their emotions Supervise playtimes Encourage and ensure the students feel supported throughout the school day Report back to the class teacher and other multi-disciplinary professionals on the progress of the studentsTo be a great Mental Health Teaching Assistant, you will need to be empathetic, patient and come with a positive attitude. These students need someone who will support them and help them thrive in the classroom!
