Job Description
MEP Design Manager | 12 Month Contract | 1x per week in Somerset
I am currently on the lookout for an individual who can manage the delivery of coordinated MEP design (Drawings, Models, Schedules) across all disciplines, ensuring quality, accuracy and alignment with project requirements.
Key responsibilities:
Oversee and coordinate all MEP drawings/models
Ensure consistency in drawing standards, layering, symbols and output formatting
monitor drawing progress against the programmeCoordination
Facilitate coordination between different MEP disciplines and Architectural and Structrual teams
Use BIM platforms for clash detection and resolution
Lead internal coordination workshopsTeam Management
Manage discipline leads and their drafting/engineering teams
Assign priorities, check workloads and resolve bottlenecks
Review and approve drawings/models before issuesClient & Stakeholder Liaison
Act as the design-side counterpart to the clients Project Manager
Attend design coordination meetings
Report on design progress, issues and risksQuality Assurance
