MEP Design Manager Location: Cornwall, UK | Type: Full-time | Department: Engineering Are you a highly skilled MEP Design Manager ready to lead innovative building services projects across the UK? Join a forward-thinking consultancy delivering sustainable, high-quality solutions, and make your mark on multidisciplinary design projects. The Role As our MEP Design Manager, you’ll lead the design and coordination of complex mechanical, electrical, and public health systems, ensuring seamless integration across every project. You’ll be the technical authority, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate closely with clients, architects, and contractors to deliver designs that meet the highest standards. Your Responsibilities: Lead MEP design from concept to completion, owning all technical decisions. Review and approve consultant/contractor designs to ensure compliance with UK regulations and sustainability standards. Coordinate MEP solutions with multidisciplinary teams for fully integrated designs. Manage design risks, changes, and technical issues throughout the project lifecycle. Mentor and develop junior engineers, embedding best practices. What We’re Looking For Must Haves: Proven experience leading MEP design on diverse projects. Strong understanding of RIBA Plan of Work and BSRIA Guide BG6. Expertise in BIM processes (ISO19650) and digital design workflows. Excellent project management skills with multidisciplinary teams. Eligible for security clearance (MOD/NHS projects). Based within commuting distance of Cornwall. Nice to Haves: Hands-on MEP design experience. Familiarity with planning tools like Astal/P6.
