Job Description

MEP Manager: The one who explains why the plant room can't go just over there. London | £80-£100k | Career opportunity | Comprehensive salary package We're after an MEP Manager - someone who's coordinated £10m - £15m MEP packages, stared down clashing risers, and survived commissioning with only mild emotional damage. You'll be the go-between for sparkies, plumbers, consultants and clients - basically, the person who ensures the building works and doesn't go full disco mode every time the HVAC tries to boot up. Your world will involve: •Sorting ductwork that somehow wants to run through everything •Managing subcontractors who all believe they should go in first •Getting the BMS to speak to the controls without an exorcism •Chairing meetings where someone will inevitably ask, Can we move the boiler to the roof? You'll need to: •Know M&E inside out (not just nod through acronyms) •Have Tier 1 experience - the good bits, not the death-by-process bits •Have stuck around long enough on jobs to see hot water actually flow •Keep things running, even when the fire alarm panel is flashing like a Christmas tree The Company: A well-backed principal contractor - expanding, so a great time to join. Think Tier 1 build quality without needing 14 approvals to move a socket. Projects in and around London include £50m + film studios, stadiums, and high-end retirement villages - so expect technical builds, not box-ticking sheds. I know this ad's had a bit of fun, but let's be clear-I'm a serious recruiter working with a serious contractor, and this is a seriously good opportunity. If you've got the experience and the grit to handle projects that matter, I want to hear from you. Give me (Spencer Wade) a call on (phone number removed) or drop me an email at (url removed)
