The MEP Manager will manage all aspects of mechanical and electrical works within a large rail infrastructure project, focusing on snagging and completing outstanding works. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in M&E systems within rail projects and demonstrate strong leadership in managing contractor teams and ensuring compliance with specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning and execution of mechanical and electrical installations on-site, ensuring alignment with project specifications and schedules.
- Manage snagging processes, identifying and tracking defects or incomplete works, ensuring timely resolutions.
- Coordinate with the project team to plan and implement M&E activities effectively, minimising disruptions to the overall project time-line.
- Conduct inspections and quality checks of M&E installations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues and provide solutions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of project progress, including snag lists, inspection reports, and compliance records.
- Prepare and present reports on M&E performance, including recommendations for improvement.
- Facilitate the training and development of junior team members, promoting best practices in M&E management.
- Ensure that all M&E works are completed to meet contractual deadlines, quality standards, and budgetary constraints.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an M&E role within large-scale rail infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems relevant to rail infrastructure.
- Proven experience in managing snagging processes and ensuring quality assurance.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills.
