Job Description

Due to sustained growth driven by long-term client relationships and repeat project wins, a well-established specialist MEP Quantity Surveying consultancy is expanding its commercial team.

The business has built a strong reputation for delivering robust, technically informed commercial management on mechanically and electrically complex projects, often acting as a trusted commercial partner to contractors, developers, and end-clients. Their work spans sectors including data centres, commercial developments, healthcare, transport infrastructure and high-spec residential, with projects typically involving large-scale, high-value MEP packages.

The consultancy is known for its hands-on, technically strong approach, where Quantity Surveyors are given real responsibility, direct client exposure, and support to develop long-term careers rather than being siloed or underutilised.

Key Responsibilities

  * 

    Pre- and post-contract MEP quantity surveying duties

  * 

    Commercial management of mechanical or electrical packages

  * 

    Cost planning, forecasting, and monthly valuations

  * 

    Procurement of MEP subcontract packages

  * 

    Change control, variations, and final accounts

  * 

    Contract administration and commercial risk management

  * 

    Direct liaison with clients, contractors, and design teams

About You

  * 

    Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline

  * 

    Experience working with MEP packages in a consultancy or contractor environment

  * 

    Strong technical understanding of mechanical and electrical scope and costs

  * 

    Commercially aware, organised, and confident communicating with stakeholders
