MEP Quantity Surveyor – Hospital - Kettering
We are currently working with a well-established MEP contractor operating throughout the UK in a range of sectors including, education, healthcare, technology and commercial. There is an urgent need for an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a hospital project in Northamptonshire.
Responsibilities
* Commercial Management
Manage the full commercial lifecycle of MEP packages on a hospital construction project, ensuring effective cost control, value management, and alignment with project budgets
* NEC Contract Administration (Option C)
Administer NEC Option C contracts, including management of compensation events, early warnings, and target cost mechanisms to protect commercial position and project outcomes
* Procurement & Supply Chain Management
Lead the procurement of MEP subcontract packages, ensuring competitive tendering, robust package buyouts, and alignment with project specifications and programme
* Cost Reporting & Forecasting
Prepare accurate cost reports, forecasts, and final accounts, providing clear commercial insight to senior stakeholders across complex healthcare infrastructure projects
* Stakeholder & Framework Coordination
Work collaboratively with project teams, clients, and supply chain partners, with experience across healthcare frameworks such as Procure 21 / Procure 23 being highly advantageous
Requirements
Must have previous experience administering NEC Option C contracts
Must have relevant degree level qualifications or equivalent trades’ background
Must be based within a commutable distance of Kettering
Benefits
£55,000 - £60,000 per annum + Option of hybrid working
