Job Description

We are recruiting for a prestigious employer within the motor trade industry in Reading, Berkshire, seeking an experienced MET Technician to join their busy bodyshop environment. Competitive hourly rate of between £16.50 and £23 per hour (flat salary or basic plus bonus scheme)
Monday to Friday working hours, 45 hours per week

Conduct mechanical repairs and bodywork on allocated vehicles
Dismantling, fault finding, and diagnostic work to identify issues accurately
Re-assemble vehicles using new parts as required
Perform inspections and testing to ensure vehicle safety and quality
Identify faults or work that requires attention, prioritising safety considerations
Safe and legal road testing of vehicles to confirm repair quality and road worthinessRequirements of an MET Technician:

Demonstrable experience as an MET Technician within a busy bodyshop environment
Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality work
Full UK driving licence
ATA or NVQ qualifications are preferred but not essential
Time-served individuals with relevant experience are encouraged to apply
