Job Description

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established accident repair bodyshop in St Albans, for the position of MET Technician. The successful individual will join a reputable accident repair environment recognised for quality standards and strong manufacturer approvals. Duties of the MET Technician:
  * Conduct mechanical and bodywork repairs on allocated vehicles
  * Perform dismantling, fault-finding, diagnostics, and re-assembly operations
  * Replace parts as necessary and carry out vehicle inspections and testing
  * Identify faults and safety concerns, ensuring compliance with safety regulations
  * Carry out road tests in a safe and legal manner to verify vehicle roadworthiness
  * Maintain high standards of quality, attention to detail, and communication throughout all tasks
Requirements of the MET Technician:
  * Proven experience as an MET Technician within a professional accident repair environment
  * Strong fault-finding, diagnostics, dismantling, and re-assembly skills
  * Ability to work efficiently and accurately to high standards
  * Excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail
  * Multi-tasking capability to manage multiple jobs simultaneously
  * ATA qualification or NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair is preferred but not essential
