Job Description
DC Personnel is recruiting on behalf of our client — a fast-growing, forward-thinking company that has experienced significant growth since 2001. They’re looking for a skilled Metal Fabricator to join their close-knit, hands-on team in the metal shop.
If you have a strong background in metal fabrication and take pride in delivering high-quality, bespoke metal work, this could be the ideal role for you.
Hours: 7:00 - 15:30 (40 hours a week), Monday - Friday
Overtime is time and a quarter X1.25 (After 40 hours)
Pay rate: £14 - £17 per hour (To achieve the higher rate you must have 2+ years' experience in the same job role)
This is a temp to perm role
What You’ll Be Doing:
Fabricating a variety of signage and metal components from aluminium, mild steel, and stainless steel
Working from job sheets and drawings to produce high-quality bespoke metal signs
Operating machines such as drills, circular saws, and band saws safely and efficiently
Using a range of hand and power tools
Adhering to strict health and safety standards at all times
Collaborating with your team to meet deadlines and maintain production quality
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience in metal fabrication
Excellent attention to detail
Positive, can-do attitude with a strong work ethic
Physically strong and enthusiastic
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Able to work independently and use your own initiative
Reliable, trustworthy and honest
Friendly with a good sense of humor
