Metal Finisher Package:
Competitive Salary £30,000 - £32,703 16.6% shift premium
Holiday: 25 days 8 Statutory Days

2x tier rotational double day shifts – EARLIES AND LATES
Week 1 - AM Shift: 05:45 – 13:30 Monday – Thursday & 05:45 – 12:15 on Friday
Week 2 – PM Shift:13:15 – 21:00 Monday – Thursday & 11:45 – 18:45 on Friday
Orion is partnered with a fast-paced manufacturing business based in Birmingham We are recruiting for an experienced Metal Finishing Operative to join the team
Metal Finisher Responsibilities:
Work with Production & Assembly teams to maintain product flow.
Perform fettling, grinding, and rework of components.
Operate lathe mopping machine
Maintain equipment and perform general upkeep.
Carry out etching and polishing using mopping lathe.
Improve processes and take accountability for results.
Maintain booking systems (Efacs/seki).
Handle additional duties as required – Support across the shop floor where needed
Metal Finisher Required Experience:
Skilled in grinding, fettling, and polishing with hand tools and mopping lathe.
Candidates must have experience using a Mopping Lathe
Experience using labour booking systems – Sekai/Efacs etc..
Strong problem-solving ability and proactive attitude.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Resilient and determined to overcome challenges.
Happy to support on various work duties across the shop floor when needed
Results-oriented, confident, proactive and motivated.
