Job Type: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: £13 per hour
Hours: Mon: 7.30am - 4pm, Tues: 7.30am - 4.30pm, Weds/Thurs: 7.30am - 5pm, Friday: 7.30am - 12pm
Are you an experienced Metal Finisher with a background in polishing and fettling stainless steel? We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly respected manufacturer, seeking a Skilled Polisher/Fettler to join their specialist team.
This is a hands-on, practical role within a close-knit department, working primarily on the construction of machinery. If you take pride in precision finishing and want to be part of a small but vital team, this opportunity is for you.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Polishing and fettling a range of stainless-steel finishes (Satin, Mirror, Shot Blast, Scotch-Brite)
Working in a polishing workshop alongside three other engineers
Occasionally working on large machinery outside of the polishing shop
Attending customer sites occasionally to assist with installation (as required)
Operating in a physically active and industrial environment with appropriate extraction systems in place
Requirements:
Proven experience in metal finishing, polishing and fettling (especially stainless steel)
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with manual processes
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Willingness to support installation work off-site occasionally
