Metal Finishing Technician Trainee
Ramsgate

What you’ll be doing:
As a Trainee Metal Finishing Technician, you will support the Metal Processing and Bonding Unit (MPBU) in delivering a range of critical surface treatments. You’ll be trained to handle:
* Electroplating operations using Cadmium, Nickel, Chrome, Silver, Tin, Copper and Phosphate
* Heat treatment and non-destructive testing (Nital Etch)
* Environmental and chemical safety protocols
* Chemical and consumable stock management
* Daily, weekly and monthly control and quality checks
* Maintaining EASA and FAA standards
* 5S workplace standards and continuous improvement
What we’re looking for:
* Minimum GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English
* A proactive, can-do attitude with excellent problem-solving ability
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
* Motivation to learn and grow in a technical environment
* Ability to work under pressure and maintain quality standards
