Job Description
We are looking for reliable and motivated individuals to join our team as Meter Readers. This is a field-based role where you’ll be visiting residential properties in your local area to record utility meter readings and carry out visual inspections. Using your own vehicle (with business insurance), you’ll be provided with pre-mapped routes and all the tools you need to complete your work efficiently.
What You’ll Be Doing
*
Drive to local destinations using your own insured vehicle.
*
Follow pre-mapped routes to visit residential properties.
*
Knock on doors and engage with residents, explaining you’re there to take their meter readings.
*
Accurately record readings on a tablet/phone and submit data promptly.
*
Move between properties in your mapped area, and when complete, travel to the next location.
*
Report any issues, safety concerns, or irregularities as required.
*
Uphold high standards of customer service and professionalism at all times.
What We’re Looking For
*
Full UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points).
*
Access to your own vehicle with business insurance.
*
Confident working independently and outdoors in all weather conditions.
*
Good organisational skills to plan and manage your own day.
*
Strong communication and customer service skills.
*
Comfortable using mobile apps or tablets to capture and submit data.
What We Offer

£12.60 per hour + 30.5p mileage reimbursement.
*
Monthly performance bonus based on meters read.
*
Flexible working hours to fit around your schedule.
*
Monday to Friday role, with optional overtime available at weekends.
*
Paid training and ongoing support.
