About the Role
We are seeking a proactive Metering Planner to join a leading water industry contractor based in Cornwall. The successful candidate will be responsible for scheduling and coordinating field-based metering teams, ensuring efficient delivery of daily work programmes and excellent customer service.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational and communication skills to play a key role in the smooth operation of metering projects across the region.
Key Responsibilities

Plan and allocate work to metering engineers and surveyors.

Manage daily schedules and ensure targets and SLAs are achieved.

Liaise with field teams, customers, and management to resolve issues quickly.

Update planning systems and databases accurately.
*
Monitor productivity and job completion rates.
*
Support the wider operations team with reporting and project coordination.
Requirements
✅ Experience in planning, scheduling, or coordination within the utilities or construction sector (water industry preferred).
✅ Strong IT skills – comfortable using scheduling software and Excel.
✅ Excellent communication and organisational skills.
✅ Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
✅ A proactive, problem-solving attitude.
