Person Specification:

Holds QTS, with ECTs encouraged to apply
Dedicated, professional, and passionately demonstrates classroom talent
Holds a relevant teaching qualification and is an outstanding classroom practitioner
Demonstrates strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire a team
Has a deep passion for languages and the ability to instil this enthusiasm in students
Is committed to professional development and can effectively manage the department to maintain high standards
Has experience in curriculum design, assessment, and departmental leadership
Has the energy to build on recent GCSE/A-level results and drive forward high-quality post-16 language provision
Key Responsibilities:

Ensure high standards of teaching and learning in MFL
Develop and deliver a forward-thinking curriculum that inspires and challenges students
Support and mentor MFL teachers, fostering a culture of continuous professional development
Collaborate with senior leadership to drive school-wide strategies for academic success
Ensure the department achieves high academic outcomes and contributes to the overall success of the school
Oversee the planning and delivery of extracurricular activities related to languages, such as clubs, cultural events, and language trips
