Job Description

Role – MIG Welder and Fabricator role Location –Thetford, Norfolk Working hours – Monday to Friday – Full time hours Rate of pay – Up to £16.90 per hour Capacity of role – Temporary to Permanent assignment Our client is currently recruiting for a welder to join their busy workshop team. Applicants will need to be experienced within welding practises and will be a well polished engineer. Main duties will include –  Perform MIG welding on mild steel components to produce strong, clean, and accurate welds.  Read and interpret technical drawings and welding symbols to determine specifications and materials required.  Set up welding equipment, including voltage, wire feed, and shielding gas settings.  Inspect and measure finished components using gauges and measuring tools to ensure conformance to tolerances.  Carry out grinding, fettling, or minor fabrication as needed to complete parts.  Follow all health and safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE.  Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work area and tools. Candidate attributes –  Proven experience as a MIG Welder, ideally in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.  Strong understanding of welding mild steel to commercial or structural standards.  Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.  Basic fabrication skills including grinding, tacking, and assembly.  Knowledge of welding safety procedures and practices.  Experience using welding tools, jigs, and measuring instruments Skills Required MIG, Welding, Welder, Engineering, Engineer, Fabrication, Fabricate Keywords MIG, Welding, Welder, Engineering, Engineer, Fabrication, Fabricate
