Nelson Permanent Placements are working with our client recruiting for a Mill Operative for a well-established company in West Bromwich who provide cable solutions are widely used in education, commercial, housing, industrial, and healthcare sectors across the UK.
To be considered for this role as a Mill Operative you will be:
* Hands on experience as a Mill Operative
* Able to work as part of a team and as an individual
* Motivation to beat targets safely and required quality standards
Key Responsibilities of this role as a Mill Operative you will be:
* Set and operate our presses and ancillary and roll forming equipment
* Produce parts at the correct rate and report any issues with achieving that rate
* Take responsibility for the quality of the parts produced
* Keep production and quality related records up to date
* Ensure good levels of 5S are maintained in the area
* Be involved in continuous improvement processes driving through improvements in all aspects of the role
* Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed
* Performs Other Duties as Assigned
Requirements of a Mill Operative you will:
* Be able to comply with and promote company values
* Have a good knowledge and hands on experience of Power Press setting and operation
* Able to work as part of a team and as an individual
* Motivation to beat targets safely and required quality standards
Benefits of Mill Operative:
* Annual salary of £32,000 - £33,000 (including shift allowance)
* Working Hours:
Week 1 – Monday – Thursday 6am – 2pm Friday 6am – 1pm
Week 2 - Monday – Thursday 2pm – 10pm Fridays 1pm – 8pm
Week 3 -Sunday to Wednesday 10pm – 6am & Thursday 10pm – 5am
