Job Opportunity: School Minibus Driver Contract Type: Part time Salary: £15 per hour Start Date: ASAP
About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable, responsible and experienced Minibus Driver to join our team and support the safe transport of pupils to and from school. This role is vital in ensuring the wellbeing of our students during their journeys and maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
🚐 Transport Passengers: Safely drive the minibus according to the agreed timetable, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs.
🔧 Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct daily checks to ensure the minibus is roadworthy, clean, and well-maintained. Report any issues promptly.
⚠️ Safety Compliance: Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations, ensuring passengers wear seatbelts and follow safety protocols.
🤝 Passenger Care: Assist children and passengers with special needs, ensuring comfort and safety throughout the journey.
📞 Communication: Act as a point of contact for parents and guardians, addressing transport-related queries professionally.
📚 Training & Development: Take part in relevant training, including first aid and minibus driving assessments.
What We're Looking For:
✅ Driving Licence: Valid UK driving licence with D1 entitlement (without 101 restriction).
Full Enhanced DBS
🧒 Experience: Previous experience driving larger vehicles or working with children is preferred.
🗣️ Communication Skills: Friendly and clear communicator with pupils, parents, and staff.
⏱️ Reliability: Punctual, responsible, and able to work independently.
