Job Description
Our client, a key player in the energy sector, is currently searching for two skilled MMA Welders to join their team at Hinkley Point C on a 6-month fixed term contract. This opportunity is perfect for professionals with recent experience in the MMA discipline, particularly those with a background in the nuclear, oil & gas industries.
Key Responsibilities:
Performing high-quality MMA welding on a variety of plate materials
Fabricating and welding components to strict industry standards
Ensuring all welding work is in accordance with coded welding specifications
Collaborating with the team to ensure project milestones are met
Maintaining safety standards and adhering to health and safety regulations
Completing weld inspections and quality assurance checks
Job Requirements:
Proven experience with MMA welding techniques
Competence in MMA PLATE and general MMA welding
Background in fabricator/welder roles
Coded welding qualifications, such as BS EN ISO 9606
Relevant certifications, including the CCNSG Safety Passport
One of the following qualifications:
Level 2 or Level 3 Welding Apprenticeship
An equivalent apprenticeship in a welding discipline
Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in a welding discipline or equivalent
Level 2 or Level 3 Certificate in Welding and Engineering Craft Studies
A minimum of 3 years' experience as a welder in a relevant industry
