A well-established northern-based specialist in the design, installation, and maintenance of air conditioning and refrigeration systems. The company has grown significantly over the past six years, securing long-term framework agreements with clients across large scale commercial, pharmaceutical and manufacturing sectors.
Role Summary
You will operate as a mobile service and maintenance engineer across the North West of England. Your responsibilities will include planned and reactive maintenance of:
* VRF systems
* VRV systems
* Some chiller work if within your skill set (Lennox / Airedale / Daikin).
Sites include large commercial offices, industrial buildings, food production facilities and power stations. This is a specialist air conditioning role — you will NOT be expected to carry out general facilities maintenance such as plumbing, building fabric repairs, or basic electrical work.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm (40 hours per week).
Overtime is earned after 9 hours daily (8 hours work plus 30 minutes for lunch and 30 minutes travel).
Candidate Requirements
* Apprentice-trained and fully qualified air conditioning engineer
* F-Gas Category 1 certification is essential
* Strong experience in fault finding and maintenance of VRF/VRV systems.
Salary & Benefits
* Basic salary: £48,000 - £50,000
* Ford Transit Connect (premium spec) – available for personal use (personal mileage paid by employee)
* Overtime paid at time and a half after 9 hours per day - double time on Sunday
* 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
