Job Description
South of England — covering Hampshire, Sussex, Surrey, and the Isle of Wight. Key service areas include Portsmouth, Southampton, Winchester, Woking, Crawley, and Horsham.
We are looking for a conscientious and enthusiastic Regional Electrician to carry out mobile maintenance services across multiple sites in the South of England. This is a permanent position, ideally suited to someone seeking career progression, hands-on experience, and the chance to work in a supportive, professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
*
Carry out electrical testing, inspection, PPMs, fault finding, and reactive repairs.
*
Complete full electrical rewiring and installations in kitchens, bathrooms, and commercial heating systems.
*
Ensure all work complies with the latest IEE Wiring Regulations and British Standards.
*
Provide support to other trades to deliver safe, professional maintenance services.
*
Respond promptly to emergencies and participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota.
*
Maintain communication with customers, keeping them updated on progress.
*
Work flexibly across contracts as required.
Skills & Experience Required:
*
Technical expertise in both domestic and commercial electrical work.
*
Ability to diagnose and carry out first-time fix repairs.
*
Strong organisational skills with the ability to self-manage.
*
Professional and customer-focused when dealing with tenants.
*
Confident communicator, able to use phone or PDA effectively.
*
Minimum 3 years’ trade experience in building maintenance.
Qualifications Required:
*
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (essential)
*
City & Guilds 2391 (Inspecting & Testing, or equivalent) – essential
*
18th Edition (essential)
*
CSCS card (advantageous)
*
AM2 qualification (advantageous)
*
Full current driving licence
*
Enhanced DBS check required
