Location:
Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire (Mobile role covering the Midlands)
Contract Type:
Permanent, Full-Time (40 hours per week)
Includes participation in an on-call rota
Role Overview:
Equans is seeking a skilled and experienced Mobile Electrician to join our Midlands team, primarily covering the Stoke-on-Trent area. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with strong fault-finding capabilities and a proactive approach to electrical maintenance and installations. The role involves mobile work across various sites, requiring travel and flexibility.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and repairs on electrical systems
Diagnose and rectify faults with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency
Carry out electrical installation work, ensuring relevant certification is completed
Operate and interrogate Building Management Systems (BMS)
Carry out basic building fabric repairs when necessary
Use a PDA to log start/wait/stop times and job completion, providing real-time updates and evidence of work
Update client CAFM systems with accurate job details and descriptions of works carried out
Respond to emergency breakdowns and participate in the regional on-call rota
Essential Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in a similar electrical maintenance role
Strong fault finding and diagnostics skills
Qualified to the relevant electrical standards and regulations (e.g., 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations)
Full UK driving licence (essential for mobile role)
Comfortable with technology (PDA/CAFM systems)
Good understanding of health and safety requirements
Desirable:
Experience working with BMS systems
Basic building maintenance knowledge
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
