Mobile Industrial Electrician

What You'll Do:
Yolk Recruitment is representing an established engineering services business looking for a qualified Mobile Electrician to support a major infrastructure framework across South Wales.
Reporting to the Contract Manager, you will travel from the Port Talbot area to operational sites across East, South and West Wales. These locations range from small river-monitoring facilities to pumping stations, making this a varied field-based position suited to someone comfortable working independently.
Your responsibilities will include:
Completing planned, reactive and emergency electrical maintenance across multiple operational sites
Diagnosing electrical faults and responding effectively to equipment breakdowns
Accurately completing job reports and submitting the required documentation on time
Visiting sites and overseeing subcontractors working within the framework
Following company procedures and site-specific working requirements
Working safely and diligently, including when operating independently
Complying fully with health, safety and environmental procedures
Communicating clearly with the Contract Manager, subcontractors and site stakeholders
What You'll Bring:
Full qualification as an Electrician
Current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification
A full UK driving licence
Previous experience of lone working in a mobile or field-based position
Strong fault-finding and reactive maintenance capabilities
Excellent communication and organisational skills
The ability to complete technical and work-related documentation accurately
A responsible approach to health and safety when working across operational sites
PAT testing experience or certification would be advantageous
Testing and Inspection certification would be advantageous
Safe working in or near water training would be advantageous
Medium-risk confined-space training would be advantageous

This is a varied mobile role offering a salary of approximately £40,000, with flexibility depending on the successful candidate's experience. You will work a 40-hour week, with no regular overtime currently required.
