Location: St Albans Area
Salary: £33,000 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (40 hours per week)
Benefits: Company Van, Fuel Card, and comprehensive benefits packageWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Multi-Skilled Carpenter to join our dynamic team, responsible for carrying out responsive and planned repairs across a diverse range of properties within the St Albans area. This is a mobile role ensuring work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertake a wide variety of carpentry tasks, including but not limited to:
Door hanging and adjustments
Lock changes and installations
Repairing and fitting kitchen units, cupboards, and worktops
Boxing in pipework and other fixtures
Carry out repairs and maintenance work in both occupied and void properties.
Perform tasks in secondary trades, such as:
Minor plumbing works (e.g., fixing leaks, replacing taps)
Small area tiling
Patch plastering
Ensure all work is completed in a timely manner and to a high standard, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Maintain clear and professional communication with residents and colleagues.
Accurately record job details and material usage.What We are Looking For:
Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Carpenter.
A relevant trade qualification (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ Level 2 or equivalent) in Carpentry is essential.
Demonstrable skills and experience in secondary trades such as minor plumbing, tiling, and plastering.
A strong understanding of health and safety practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Essential: A valid full UK driving license held for a minimum of 12 months (as a company vehicle will be provided for work use only).
