About the Company
I am currently representing a leading building services provider that supports a wide range of commercial and residential sites. The company takes pride in delivering high-quality, reliable services and has built a strong reputation within the industry.
Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a Mobile Building Services Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join their team and play a key role in maintaining and improving electrical systems across client properties.
The Role
As a Mobile Building Services Engineer, you will:
Lead on electrical maintenance, fault resolution, and compliance across client sites.
Attend multiple sites as directed by the Service Desk to meet operational requirements.
Support wider building services, including basic mechanical, plumbing, or HVAC tasks where required.
Respond to emergencies, completing repairs safely and efficiently.
Provide technical advice and professional client communication on site.
Promote and adhere to Health & Safety and electrical regulations at all times.
Commit to continuous professional development, staying up to date with the latest electrical technologies and standards.
This is a mobile role requiring flexibility and occasional work outside standard hours to ensure service continuity.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver planned, reactive, and statutory electrical maintenance on systems including lighting, power distribution, emergency lighting, fire alarm interfaces, and control systems.
Diagnose, isolate, and repair electrical faults.
Support small installation works, upgrades, and system modifications.
Accurately complete all electrical certification and compliance documentation.
Provide multi-skilled support where required (mechanical, plumbing, HVAC).
Attend and resolve electrical emergencies promptly and professionally.
Essential Qualifications
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Maintenance (or equivalent)
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent)
Full UK Driving Licence
Salary & Benefits
Salary up to £48,000 per annum
Company van and fuel card
33 days holiday (including bank holidays)
40-hour week, Monday to Friday (8am – 5pm)
Call-out rota: 1 in 7 weeks (£150 standby)
Overtime available at time and a half and double time
