Job Description

We’re recruiting for an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to join a well-established engineering business, covering the Northeast of England and the Scottish Borders. My client is a genuinely well-run business where engineers are valued, supported and given the freedom to do their job without unnecessary pressure.

If you’re Mobile Plant Fitter who thrives on independence, variety, and being trusted to manage your own day, this role offers exactly that. You’ll be field based, working from home and travelling directly to sites across your region, taking full ownership of maintaining and repairing a wide range of plant equipment.

Mobile Plant Fitter Benefits:

  * £41,000 base. (41 hours).

  * Door to Door Pay.

  * OT x1.5 and x2.0

  * Van and Tools.

  * 32 days holiday.

  * Life Assurance.

  * Pension. (6%)

  * Work from home.

Mobile Plant Fitter Duties include:

  * Days based role. (No shift work).

  * Complete planned maintenance tasks.

  * Servicing heavy plant (excavators, ancillary equipment).

  * Plan and manage your workload.

  * Fault diagnostics and repair.

  * Fill in necessary documentation.

Mobile Plant Fitter Requirements include:

  * NVQ Level 3 Plant Engineering or Similar (Mechanical).

  * Strong mechanical skills.

  * Previous experience with heavy plant.

  * Hydraulics.

  * Welding abilities (Advantageous).

  * Full UK Driving License.

  * Good communication skills.
