Job Title: Mobile Plant Fitter – Foreman Fitter
Salary: £60,000
Rota: Full Time – Days - With occasional over nightstays
Location: Ferndown (with travel to surrounding sites)
Looking to step into a leadership role while staying hands-on? We’re hiring a Mobile Plant Fitter to take on a Foreman Fitter position based in Ferndown. You’ll lead from the front, balancing diagnostics, breakdowns, and team planning with the occasional overnight stay.
Key responsibilities for the Mobile Plant Fitter:

Leading the day-to-day work of the plant engineering team across multiple sites
*
Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing heavy plant machinery – both onsite and in the workshop
*
Ensuring all plant meets safety and legal compliance standards
*
Hands-on maintenance of equipment including testing, dismantling, repairing, and reassembly
*
Completing reports, managing parts orders, and tracking plant availability

What you’ll need:

Ideally a qualification in Plant, HGV or Mechanical Engineering but not essential.

Full UK driving licence
*
Willingness to travel and stay away when required
