Job Description
Mobile Plant Fitter – Permanent Role
📍 Location: Doncaster
💰 Pay: £16 – £18 per hour (DOE)
🕒 Hours: 7:00am – 5:00pm, 5 days per week (some weekend work required)
We’re looking for an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to join the team in Doncaster, servicing and repairing fleet of heavy mobile plant equipment — including loading shovels, 360 grabs, forklift trucks, telehandlers, and more.
This is not a car mechanic role — we need someone with proven heavy plant experience who can hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair faults on a variety of mobile plant machinery.
*
Use diagnostic software to identify and resolve issues.
*
Service, maintain, and repair hydraulic systems, engines, axles, and rams.
*
Carry out welding and other repair work as required.
*
Ensure all work is completed to a high safety and quality standard.
Requirements
✅ Previous experience as a mobile plant fitter or heavy plant engineer.
✅ Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems and diesel engines.
✅ Ability to use diagnostic tools and software.
✅ Competence in welding and mechanical repairs.
✅ Flexible approach to working hours, including some weekends.
