Main Responsibilities
As the in-branch Mortgage Advisor, you will provide whole-of-market advice to both new and existing clients, carrying out detailed fact-finds, advising on suitable mortgage and protection solutions and managing applications through to completion. You will work closely with the estate agency team to maximise lead conversion and ensure every client receives a compliant and professional service. Case management, communication with lenders and maintaining a high-quality pipeline will form part of your day-to-day responsibilities.
Candidate Requirements
To thrive in this role, you must be CeMAP-qualified (or equivalent) with experience delivering regulated mortgage advice in a target-driven environment. A strong understanding of lender criteria, mortgage products and protection policies is essential, alongside excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach. Advisors should feel confident managing a busy workload and providing high-quality whole-of-market advice.
What You Will Receive
You will receive a basic salary of up to £29,000 including car allowance, supported by six months of financial guarantees to ease your transition into the branch. Uncapped commission creates strong earning potential from day one, supported by full administration and compliance assistance. You will also benefit from exclusive estate agency mortgage leads, pension, death in service and clear progression opportunities into senior advisory roles.
Location
This is a full-time office-based position in Stevenage, suitable for candidates living in or near Hitchin, Knebworth, Letchworth Garden City, Welwyn Garden City, Hatfield, Baldock or Luton.
