Job Description

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a prominent automotive service centre and tyre retailer with multiple centres nationwide, for an experienced Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester to join their busy Salisbury operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional seeking a role within a reputable company that values technical competence and customer service.

 Benefits for the successful Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester:

Salary between £34,000 and £36,000 per annum, negotiable based on experience
Performance-related monthly bonuses (approximately £3,600 annually)
Overtime available and paid at standard rates
32 days annual leave (including bank holidays), plus an additional day off for your birthday

Guaranteed 42.5-hour week over five days (Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm, plus one in two Saturdays 8:00am-4:00pm with a weekday day off when working a Saturday)Duties of the Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester:

Conduct MOT tests to Ministry standards on customer vehicles
Diagnose and undertake servicing and repairs as required
Assist with workshop support tasks to ensure smooth daily operations
Provide excellent customer service, including occasional front reception assistance
Work within company procedures to deliver high-quality work within specified timeframesRequirements of the Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester:

Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester from employment or apprenticeship
Valid MOT licence and a UK driving licence with minimal points
Ability to produce high-quality work efficiently and accurately
Friendly and approachable manner, with good communication skills
Residing within reasonable commuting distance of Salisbury
