Job Description
We are currently recruiting for an MOT Technician on behalf of our client, a reputable franchised main dealership in Southampton, Hampshire. This is an excellent MOT Technician opportunity for experienced motor trade professionals seeking career progression within a supportive and professional environment.
Benefits:
Competitive basic salary up to £34,000 depending on experience
OTE £39,000 with a structured bonus scheme
Monday to Friday working hours, 8:00am to 5:00pm
One Saturday every two months, 8:30am to 12:30pm
23 days annual leave plus bank holidays

On-site parking facilitiesDuties of an MOT Technician:
Conducting vehicle repairs and routine servicing in accordance with manufacturer standards
Carrying out MOT testing (Level 3 qualification preferred; Level 2 individuals with testing licence considered)
Diagnosing faults accurately and performing necessary repairs
Communicating effectively with customers regarding vehicle issues and repair progress
Supporting and mentoring Junior Technicians within the workshop
Maintaining health and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment
Participating in ongoing technical training to stay abreast of vehicle technology developmentsRequirements of an MOT Technician:
Full UK driving licence
MOT Tester qualification (Level 3 preferred; Level 2 with testing licence considered)
NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent technical qualification
Proven workshop experience with solid technical skills
Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail
Self-motivated, proactive, and dedicated to delivering excellent customer service
