Job Description

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable automotive service centre and tyre retailer with multiple centres across the UK, for a MOT Technician to join their busy Swansea location. This is an excellent MOT Technician opportunity for a skilled professional seeking stable employment within a friendly workshop environment.

Starting salary approximately £32,640 per annum, negotiable based on experience
Monthly performance-related bonuses, averaging £3,600 annually
32 days' annual leave including bank holidays, plus a day off for your birthday

42.5 hours per week over a five-day guaranteed schedule, Monday to Friday 8:30am-5:30pm, and alternate Saturdays 8:00am-4:00pm (with a day off in the week when working a Saturday)Duties of a MOT Technician:

Carrying out MOT tests in compliance with Ministry standards
Diagnosing vehicle faults and executing relevant service and repair work
Supporting workshop operations as needed to ensure efficient workflow
Providing high-quality work within designated timescales
Offering assistance at the front reception desk with customer enquiries when required
Maintaining excellent customer service standards at all timesRequirements of a MOT Technician:

Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician and MOT Tester 
MOT licence is essential
Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
Ability to produce high-quality workmanship within tight deadlines
Friendly and approachable demeanour, with strong communication skills
Reside within reasonable commuting distance of Swansea
