Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join a well-established, family-run garage in Camberley. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced motor trade professionals to work in a friendly, supportive environment while developing their skills within a busy workshop.

 Benefits for the successful Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester:

Competitive salary between £35,000 and £40,000, depending on experience
Monthly bonus scheme of £200 to £400, based on workshop performance
Work Monday to Saturday, with Saturday pay at DOUBLE RATE
28 days’ holiday, including bank holidays

Perform vehicle repairs and servicing, including major jobs such as clutch replacements and timing belts
Conduct MOT testing for Class 4, 5, and 7 vehicles, maintaining high standards of honesty and quality
Carry out smaller repairs, including brake pads, discs, bulbs, and repairs necessary for MOT failures
Support the MOT process with practical demonstration tests and quality checks for qualified individuals
Collaborate with colleagues and management to ensure seamless workshop operation and high levels of customer satisfaction
Maintain timely completion of work, adhering to safety and quality standards
Assist with roadside diagnostics and other mechanical tasks as requiredRequirements of the Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester:

Proven practical experience in the automotive trade, capable of independently executing mechanical repairs as a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester
Valid MOT licence is preferred; strong technicians without a licence may be supported through training
Proficient in mechanically demanding tasks such as clutch and timing belt replacements
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Eligible to work in the UK and able to work flexible hours, including Saturdays
