Job Description
An exciting opportunity has become available for an Automotive Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester within a dealership located in Eastbourne.
Our Automotive Client has a need for a Vehicle Technician or MOT Tester who is motivated and able to work to their own initiative.

Company pension schemeDuties include but are not limited to:
Conduct MOT inspections in accordance with government standards within designated time slots
Carry out repairs, diagnostics, and servicing, including complex jobs like engine work, clutch replacements, gearbox repairs, and recalls (airbags, brake pedals) which can take 6-7 hours
Interpret technical instructions, repair orders, and manufacturer quality procedures accurately
Keep technical skills up to date through ongoing training
Road test vehicles responsibly, accurately record work done, and ensure thorough documentation
Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workshop environment in compliance with health and safety standards
Build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and customersRequirements:
Level 3 MOT test qualification and valid MOT Licence (Class 4) essential
Proven experience as a senior or master level Technician—ideally with engine, gearbox, clutch, and major recall repairs
Experience with large jobs, including airbags and brake pedal recalls, is highly desirable
Strong mechanical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented, well-organised, and able to work under pressure effectively
Positive attitude and team player mentality
Right to work in the UKThe salary of this role is up to £30000 basic with OTE of £40000.
Hours of work for this Vehicle Technician role are Monday – Friday 08:30 – 17:00.
