Location: Angmering
Salary: Up to £38,000
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm
Holidays: 20 days + Bank Holidays

Our client is a friendly, family-run garage that keeps things running smoother than a freshly-passed hatchback. A valued team member has moved on, so they’re now looking for an experienced MOT Tester to join the crew — and the vacancy is signed off and road-ready.
No trial shifts. No long-winded diagnostic interviews.
Just one straightforward chat with the owners… and if you pass with no major defects, it's straight to an offer.
Your Day-to-Day (No Emissions Test Required)
You’ll be carrying out around 10 MOTs a day on mostly newer vehicles, using a proper MOT ramp (none of those questionable pits).
Average test time? 30–40 minutes — just enough to keep the day moving without needing a pit stop every five minutes.
Your Pass Criteria
We’re looking for someone with:
✔ Valid MOT Testing Licence
✔ Full UK driving licence (maximum 6 points – nobody wants a tester who keeps failing their own retest)
✔ 2–3 years MOT testing experience
✔ Ideally 5 years+ in the trade
Nice to have:
➤ A bit of mechanical know-how for minor tweaks and general workshop support.
