MOT Tester - Shrewsbury
Our client, a reputable and well-established automotive group, is seeking a skilled MOT Tester to join their professional vehicle service centre in Shrewsbury.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified MOT Tester to develop their career within a supportive environment, with a focus solely on MOT testing (Class 4 & 7) compliance and safety standards. The position of MOT Tester is pivotal to ensuring vehicle safety and adherence to legal standards.

Competitive basic salary of up to £34,000, with OTE £39,000
Performance-based bonus scheme
Working hours: Monday to Friday plus 1-in-2 Saturdays, with a day off in the week when working Saturday.

Conduct MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations for Class 4 and 7 vehicles
Record results accurately and complete all necessary documentation promptly
Identify any repair or maintenance needs and advise customers accordingly
Ensure all work is completed to legal safety standards and within compliance guidelines
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment
Support other workshop functions as requiredRequirements:
Valid MOT Licence (Class 4 & 7) – Essential
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair – Preferred
Previous experience working as an MOT Tester in an Independent Garage or Main Dealer environment
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently
