Job Description
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a respected Main Dealer in Northwich, Cheshire, for the position of MOT Tester. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced automotive professionals seeking a dedicated MOT Testing role within a well-established dealership environment. The successful individual will have the chance to work with a reputable brand, delivering high-quality service and ensuring vehicle safety and compliance.

Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm, with no weekend work

Friendly and supportive workshop environmentDuties of the MOT Tester:
Conduct MOT tests in accordance with current regulations and standards
Carry out vehicle inspections, accurately identifying faults and reporting on service needs
Perform routine servicing, mechanical repairs, and component replacements
Complete Vehicle Health Checks to ensure ongoing safety and compliance
Work independently in a busy workshop, maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency
Document and update vehicle records systematicallyRequirements of the MOT Tester:
MOT accreditation or a strong willingness to obtain this qualification
At least 3 years’ experience working within a vehicle workshop environment
Full UK driving licence
Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly
Honest, with high levels of integrity and professionalism as the MOT Tester
Ability to work effectively under pressure and support colleagues as part of a team
