Motor Vehicle Lecturer - HGV Specialist (Further Education) - Northampton College | Temporary with potential to extend or go permanent | Via Tradewind Recruitment
Are you an experienced Motor Vehicle professional or lecturer with a strong background in Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGV)? Are you passionate about passing on your industry knowledge to the next generation of vehicle technicians? Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a forward-thinking college in Northampton, and we're looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Motor Vehicle Lecturer to join their Further Education team on a temporary basis - with strong potential for extension or a permanent role.
The Role:
You will be responsible for delivering engaging, high-quality teaching and learning to students aged 16+ enrolled in Motor Vehicle courses. The curriculum covers a range of topics including diagnostics, repair, maintenance, and servicing, with a particular focus on HGVs. Your industry experience and up-to-date knowledge will be crucial in helping learners achieve their qualifications and prepare for a successful career in the automotive sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver and assess units on Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (Levels 1-3)
Teach HGV-specific content, drawing on real-world experience
Support learners in both practical and theoretical aspects of the curriculum
Monitor student progress and provide tailored support
Maintain accurate records and contribute to curriculum development
What We're Looking For:
Industry experience in the motor vehicle sector, ideally with a focus on HGVs
Previous teaching or training experience is desirable but not essential - full support will be given
A relevant teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A passion for education and learner development
