Job Title: Moulder/Foundry Operative Location: Merseyside Salary: £33,800 - £36,400 (DOE) Hrs : Mon - Thurs 08:00-16:30hrs & Fri 08:00-15:30hrs Contract: Permanent Company/Job Role An exciting opportunity for a Moulder/Foundry Operative has arisen for our client who are a well-established global Engineering business, specialising in the Marine and Military sectors. Working to strict health and safety procedures, you will be responsible for producing moulds using loose patterns within the foundry environment, ensuring high quality castings are delivered in line with customer specifications. As the Moulder/Foundry Operative, you will be responsible for :- Prepare moulds using loose patterns, ensuring accuracy and quality. Work with foundry materials to create moulds for casting. Read and interpret pattern layouts. Operate foundry equipment and hand tools safely and effectively. Ensure moulds are produced to required tolerances and standards. Collaborate with patternmakers, and other staff to meet production schedules. Carry out quality checks to identify and correct defects in moulds. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment in line with health & safety procedures.As the successful Moulder/Foundry Operative, you will have the following skills :- Previous experience as within a foundry environment (Essential). Strong knowledge of foundry processes. Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team. Competent in reading specifications. Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Good problem-solving skills to resolve moulding and casting issues. Understanding of health & safety requirements in a foundry setting
