Job Description
CK Group are recruiting for a Moudling Production Technician, on behalf of a global medical technology company, working night shift 11pm-11am full time. This is a permanent position based in Plymouth.
The Role:
This role will be responsible for the production of plastic components using injection moulding machines.
Responsibilities:
Operating injection moulding machines to produce plastic components according to specifications.
Troubleshooting any issues with the machines or processes through root cause analysis and technical fault finding.
Completion of routine planned maintenance - Weekly, Monthly & 6 Monthly.
Assisting PM Technician with annual maintenance tasks on machines.
Working safely and adhering to all health and safety regulations and internal procedures.
Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
Collaborating with all members of shift core team including Operators, Quality Technicians, Engineers and Shift Leaders.
Documenting production data and maintaining accurate records through SAP.
Conducting regular inspections of equipment and materials to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Your Background:
Qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering (e.g: C&G, HND) or a time served apprenticeship.
Experience in maintenance and fault finding in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in an Electrical Technical based role is a distinct advantage.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement techniques is a distinct advantage.
Previous experience of Injection Moulding is desirable although not mandatory.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with others.
