Job Description

Ushii Limited are currently looking for an experienced and reliable Multi-Skilled Contractor / Builder to carry out ongoing maintenance works across Barking and Dagenham for council properties.

This is ideal for a self-employed builder/tradesperson looking for consistent work that can be managed around their own schedule.

Type of Works Include:

  * Mould wash treatments

  * Painting & decorating

  * Fan overhauls

  * PVC window overhauls

  * Carpentry repairs and door overhauls

  * Bath panel replacements

  * General responsive maintenance works within occupied council properties

  * Able to fix leaks and small electrical issues.

Requirements:

Applicants must:

  * Be multi-skilled and able to work independently

  * Have previous experience within maintenance or social housing works is beneficial.

  * Hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate

  * Have the following certificates:

      * Lone Working

      * Manual Handling

      * Safeguarding Adults Level 1

      * Asbestos Awareness

      * COSHH Awareness

(These courses can be completed online within one day if not already held.)

Work Schedule:

  * Monday to Friday

  * Work issued as jobs come in

  * Flexible working around your own schedule

  * Contractor must be able to complete approximately 3–4 jobs per week depending on the size of works required

Payment Terms:

  * Payment terms are 30 days from completion of each job

  * Full payment will be processed once before, during and after photos are submitted showing all works completed to standard

Pricing:

  * All works are coded and priced in line with Council Maintenance SOR coding

Areas Covered:

Barking and Dagenham

Reliable contractors only. Good communication, professionalism and quality workmanship are essential due to working within occupied tenant properties
