Multi-skilled Engineer

Location: Norfolk (commutable from Thetford, Attleborough, Snetterton, Wymondham, Diss, Norwich, Bury St Edmunds, Dereham, Brandon, Watton, and surrounding areas)

Are you an experienced Multi-skilled Engineer looking to join a market-leading manufacturer? If so, this is a fantastic opportunity to work with a supportive team across a wide variety of modern machinery in a challenging and rewarding role.

We're seeking a proactive engineer who thrives in a busy FMCG environment, supporting production through both planned and reactive maintenance while contributing to continuous improvement and project work.

What you'll do:

Working a rotational shift pattern (6 am-2 pm, 2 pm-10 pm, 10 pm-6 am) with occasional weekend on-call cover (rotated within the team), you'll be responsible for:

- Performing PPMs on processing, production, packaging, and site facilities equipment.

- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.

- Responding to breakdowns and completing reactive maintenance efficiently.

- Supporting continuous improvement activities and assisting on engineering projects.

- Maintaining accurate CMMS records.

- Working with equipment including mixers, check-weighers, fillers, flow-wrappers, and conveyors.

What we're looking for:

- The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, multi-skilled engineer who can work independently, use initiative, and communicate effectively. You will:

- Hold a minimum NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

- Have a stand-alone electrical qualification (essential).

- Have prior experience as a multi-skilled engineer within FMCG/manufacturing.

- Be familiar with site plant and facilities maintenance.

- Ideally have exposure to TPM, WCM, or Lean methodologies.

- Demonstrate strong numeracy, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
